Instead of trying to come up with ideas from scratch, shift your mindset to listening mode.
Pay attention to what your audience is already telling you. That’s where the magic happens.
Step 1: Dig Into Your Inbox
Start by searching for:
✅ Customer support emails
✅ Social media DMs or comments
✅ Replies to previous email campaigns
✅ Sales inquiries or objections
✅ FAQ sections from your website
These are real questions from real people, meaning your audience cares about these topics. And if one person is asking, you can bet others are wondering the same thing.
Step 2: Identify the Patterns
As you review these messages, look for common themes. Do people keep asking about a specific feature?
Are there repeated concerns about pricing?
Do they struggle with a particular problem your product solves?
For example:
🔹 If multiple customers ask, “How do I get started with [your product]?” → Send a quick-start guide email.
🔹 If someone says, “I’m not sure if [your product] is right for me” → Send a case study or a “Who This is For” email.
🔹 If a prospect says, “I’m worried about X” → Address that concern in an email with proof, testimonials, or a behind-the-scenes look.
Your audience is already telling you exactly what they want to hear from you—you just have to listen.
Step 3: Craft Emails from These Insights
Now, let’s turn these insights into engaging emails. Here are three simple formats you can use:
1. The ‘You Asked, We Answered’ Email
Subject: "Your question, answered!"
Body: Pick a frequently asked question and answer it in a way that’s valuable, engaging, and easy to digest.
CTA: Encourage replies by asking, “What other questions do you have?”
2. The ‘Customer Story’ Email
Subject: "How [Customer] Solved [Problem] with [Your Product]"
Body: Share a short success story that addresses a common concern your audience has.
CTA: Invite readers to take action (e.g., try a demo, reply with questions, or check out a case study).
3. The ‘Myth-Buster’ Email
Subject: "The Truth About [Common Misconception]"
Body: Identify a common objection or false belief about your industry/product and break it down with real facts.
CTA: Drive engagement by inviting a conversation: “Have you ever thought this? Hit reply and let me know.”
Step 4: Send an Email Today
No need to overthink it. Here’s your challenge:
1. Open your inbox.
2. Find a question or concern from a customer.
3. Write a short email answering it.
4. Send it.
That’s it. Simple, effective, and guaranteed to resonate because it’s coming directly from your audience’s real questions.
You never have to struggle with email ideas again—your inbox has them all. Now go use them!
Hit reply and tell me: What’s one question you’ve received that could make a great email?
Cheers
